Tungtex Trading Company Limited was established to manufacture a variety of high fashion women apparel marketed under the own labels of department stores in the USA.

Sing Yang Trading Limited was established to strengthen the sourcing of apparel manufacturers in China and other Asian countries.

The Group started to promote export sales to Europe and Japan. In the same year, West Pacific Enterprises Corporation, the first subsidiary based in New York, was established to broaden the marketing network within the USA.

Yellow River, Inc., the second design and marketing subsidiary company of the Group, was established in New York.

The Group strategically formed various manufacturing associates in China with China National Silk Import and Export Corporation.

To broaden the manufacturing base in China, the Group invested in Golden Will Fashions Limited and the associated factory in Panyu, China.

In the same year, Tungtex (U.S.A.) Inc. was formed and became subsequently the intermediary parent company of the investments in the USA.

Tungtex Trading Company Limited extended its production base to Zhongshan, China.

The Group acquired the existing Shenzhen Tungtex Building in Shenzhen, China, and expanded its production capacities by about 120,000 sq.ft.. In the same year, the Group's retail store network extended to Guangzhou, China.

The Group's retail store network extended to Beijing, China.

The Group made further significant expansion of the manufacturing facilities in China by acquiring industrial land and building a new plant site of about 400,000 sq.ft. in Zhongshan.

The Group strategically invested in three new associates, which are either silk-knit or woven apparel manufacturers based in Zhejiang Province in China.

During the year, the Group established Tungtex (UK) Limited in London. This direct marketing office is to boost the sale of silk and non-silk apparel to Europe.
